Kisah Gideon dan Implikasinya bagi Orang Percaya: Analisis Narrative Criticism dalam Hakim-Hakim 6:1-40

This The story of Gideon is an interesting one, but it is rarely viewed through the lens of narrative criticism. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand Gideon's struggles and God's call on his life from the perspective of narrative criticism and its implications for believers today. Using Grant Osborne's qualitative subgenre narrative analysis method, this article finds how the story of Gideon has become a reflection and example for believers, especially in terms of obedience and faithfulness in carrying out and completing the tasks given by God under any circumstances. The implications for believers are: first, obedience to God's call amid personal limitations and doubts; second, faithfulness in responding to God's signs and instructions; third, courage to test and trust God's plan. This article can be a reference and input for anyone in the development of biblical theology research.
Abstrak
Kisah Gideon merupakan kisah menarik, tetapi jarang dilihat dari lensa narrative criticism. Karena itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah memahami pergumulan Gideon serta panggilan Tuhan atas hidupnya dari perspektif narrative criticism serta implikasinya terhadap orang percaya masa kini. Berdasarkan metode kualitatif sub genre analisis naratif dari Grant Osborne, maka artikel menemukan bagaimana kisah Gideon yang telah menjadi refleksi dan teladan bagi orang percaya khususnya ketaatan dan kesetiaan untuk melaksanakan dan menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan oleh Tuhan dalam kondisi apapun juga. Implikasinya terhadap orang percaya adalah pertama, Ketaatan kepada panggilan Tuhan di tengah keterbatasan dan keraguan pribadi; Kedua, Kesetiaan dalam menanggapi tanda dan instruksi Tuhan; Ketiga, Keberanian untuk menguji dan memercayai rencana Tuhan. Artikel ini bisa menjadi rujukan dan masukan bagai siapa saja dalam pengembagan penelitian teologi biblika.
